Inspired by one of the most famous love stories all time, Romeo & Juliet, this collection from Kate Sylvester embodied the classic romance of the original tale but was given a modern spin by drawing on the glitz & grit of Baz Luhrman’s film adaption.
Androgynous styling saw models walk the runway with nude skin and slicked back hair, reminiscent of Leonardo Di Caprio’s famous mane in the film. Leather shirts and trousers in black and tan were worn back with soft shirts and solid lace tops, reflecting the feminine and masculine aspects of the Romeo & Juliet story.
Luxe lace dresses and skirts in powder blues, tans and blacks have us already pining for spring while shirt dresses and floating culottes will make for perfect summertime wardrobe staples.
While picking just one must have piece is near impossible, we’re definitely already making space in our closet for the floral shirt from the opening look, which just so happens to be Kate Sylvester’s must-have piece too!
