Tonight we got swept up in the romance of the new season at Carriageworks as we launched our Spring fashion collection with an incredible parade that showcased 60 models and over 200 new season looks.
Guests were treated to a unique full sensory experience with surround sound technology, scented moments and a beautiful haze which signalled the arrival of Spring. Models meandered through the historic columns of Carriageworks on a 100 metre curved runway beneath dramatic installations of 5,000 Bird of Paradise flowers.
Internationally renowned fashion director Thelma McQuillan styled the show, which had distinct 60s and 70s themes. Romantic and feminine designs featured heavily with ruffles, lace and florals being applied to geometric and feminine shapes.
A modern approach to cruise saw nautical stripes, crisp whites and cool blues prevail, whilst sleek and sophisticated monochrome gave black and white a fresh modern makeover with pattern play, detailing and design.
As the clouds begin to part and the sunshine starts to peek through, you get the feeling the warmer weather is well and truly on the way.
Welcome to Spring.
