4 New Ways to Decorate Your Christmas Tree

It’s not Christmas without a beautifully decorated tree and these days there’s more to it than simply throwing on some tinsel and a few random baubles. If you’re not quite sure where to start when it comes to styling your tree, we’ve got some tips and inspiration to get your creative and festive juices flowing…

Jingle Bells
Make Christmas colourful with toy figurines, fun felt characters and a hint of vintage Americana. The kids will adore this style, so why not have them pick their very own ornament for the tree and get them involved in the decorating fun? Stick with blue, green, red and silver when picking your ornaments, and coloured fairy lights will add some extra fun.

If you’re all about minimalism then you’re going to love the Mode theme. Add some sparkle to your Christmas with contemporary ornaments in red, black, white and shimmering silver. Decorate the tree with white fairy lights first, then play with textures by mixing frosted baubles with glitter baubles to really bring it to life.

Vintage Wonder
This season we love the idea of looking to yesteryear for Christmas inspiration, so take a trip down memory lane with sweet, retro ornaments that evoke the spirit of holidays past. Think aqua, lavender and coral when picking your decorations and be sure to tie them all together with silver and whites for a beautiful vintage inspired tree.

Bring a little luxury to your Christmas with traditional ornaments in sparkling colours and glittering finishes. Beautiful baubles with whimsical motifs bring to life a delicate palette of pink, champagne, gold and silver. Avoid heavy tinsel, instead look for delicate beads and warm fairy lights to perfectly finish off your traditional tree.

  1. My bad experience today at Myer Eastland has put me right off ever shopping there again and I will give my custom to the welcoming David Jones staff who helped me after my rude knockback in the children’s wear department of Myer. I have worked for Myer in the past when there were adequate registers and staff per floor and not like there were today, one sales assistant with six customers waiting and the only other register I managed to see had a ‘closed’ sign and two gossiping sales assistants who couldn’t have cared less whether I was served! I promptly put down my purchases and left the store… for good..
