Autumn Racing Styling Guide

While the colder weather may coerce us indoors, there’s still plenty of reasons to venture out. Autumn Racing Carnival is here and these are our tips to help get you out and on the racing track in style this season.

Embrace a cooler colour palette
Rich shades of burgundy, navy and grey are the colours to look for this season. The key? Experiment with new textures and fabrics for a winning combination.

You can wear floral prints
Not just for Spring Carnival, floral prints and blossoming headpieces are always in the race. Swap soft spring colours for moodier burgundy and midnight blue bases.

Try a felt hat
The cooler weather and more relaxed atmosphere of Autumn Carnival calls for different kind of finish. Try a felt fedora or panama to elevate your look.

Don’t discount knitwear
It’s the texture you’ll turn to when the weather isn’t so friendly. Lightweight knitwear works best with contrasting fabrics. Try a beautiful knit top with silk pants for a relaxed take on trackside dressing.

Style it up with some statement accessories
Transform something you already have with some head-turning accessories. A fringed bag or a pair of sharp black heels make for a quick style update.
