Go for a light coverage foundation and then apply your concealer to any areas that need a little extra help. This will have your skin looking flawless yet natural in the daylight

If your skin is oily but you want to keep up with the luminous skin trend, wear a matte foundation with a powder highlighter for a radiant, non -greasy look.

Long wear products are your best friend on a raceday.Β  Try a long wear cream eyeshadow – they glide on easily and have great staying power.

If you plan on wearing a statement lip exfoliate the lips the night before for the perfect pout. This will also help your lipstick stay on a little longer.

Blot papers are a great little handbag essential at the races as they can quickly absorb any oily areas without disturbing your makeup.

Remember your makeup doesn’t finish at your face so add a little luminizer to your limbs and decollete for a super polished look.Β  Personally I love JBronze shimmer.

Yes, it’s ok to do a strong eye and lip, but its essential to keep the skin fresh and natural.

Finally, my best raceday advice is to really check your makeup in full daylight before you head out. Makeup can look very different in your bathroom and the sunlight.

  1. I love the drama that blue eyes create and so I am often seen wearing blue eye makeup. Could you suggest me the right time to wear it? Is it during the day or the night?

    • Hi Freya, blue can be worn day or night. Perhaps try to keep it a little more understated during the day but then amp it up for evening with some eyeliner. Have fun with it either way!
