4 of our Favourite Fresh Juice & Smoothie Recipes

With summer just around the corner, now’s the time to get fighting fit and be ready to show some skin. We’re well and truly into our health kick and thought we’d share a few of our favourite juices and smoothies.

BREKKIE SMOOTHIE
A deliciously filling brekkie on the run.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
– 2 bananas
– 1 cup milk
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1 tbsp honey

WHAT YOU DO
Put everything into your blender and blend on ‘medium’ for 1 minute or until it’s well mixed. Add extra honey for sweetness if you like!
Serves 2

To spice it up a little, add a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon for a yummy nutty twist. Almond Milk can also be used in place of regular milk as a lactose free alternative. Enjoy!

GREEN VEGIE JUICE
A lean, green, cold-pressed energy boost.

YOU’LL NEED
– 3 celery stalks, cut into pieces
– 1 small piece of ginger
– 2 green apples, peeled and chopped
– 1 handful spinach

WHAT YOU DO
Put half the apple through your Oscar cold press juicer, then follow with the ginger, spinach and celery. Finish with the rest of the apple
Serves 1

DID YOU KNOW: Cold Pressing your fruit & veg retains the maximum amount of nutrients in the juice while also maximising the taste!

WILD THING SMOOTHIE
A smoothie to make anyone’s taste buds sing!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
– 1 cup chilled orange juice
– 1 punnet strawberries, hulled
– 1/2 tsp grated orange rind
– 1 tbsp oatmeal
– 2 large scoops wild berry frozen yoghurt

WHAT YOU DO
Place all ingredients into your blender, press ‘smoothie’ and blend until smooth.
Serves 2

DID YOU KNOW: 1 punnet of strawberries contains more vitamin C than 2 whole oranges, meaning this delicious berry smoothie is a great way to help to keep the winter colds away!

GREEN SMOOTHIE
A blast of essential nutrients to kick-start your day!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
– 150g green seedless grapes
– 1 navel orange, peeled
– 1 granny smith apple, cored
– 1 Lebanese cucumber, chopped
– 2 cups (50g) spinach leaves
– 6 ice cubes
– 330ml chilled coconut water

WHAT YOU DO
Put all the ingredients into your blender jug and press ‘green smoothie’. Voila!
Serves 4

If you want to increase your vegie intake everyday but don’t feel like a bowl of Brussels sprouts, then Green Smoothies are your new best friend.Β  With a big handful of spinach leaves mixed with fresh fruit, your vegie intake has just gotten a whole lot tastier.
