MBFWA Runway Report: Ellery

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia got underway with a bang last night with celebrated designer Kym Ellery opening the event with a dramatically beautiful show at Carriageworks in Sydney.

Ballerinas, Australian supermodel Gemma Ward, international designer favourite Astrid Holler and all of Ellery’s signature looks came together in a spectacular show held in a stunning open air setting.

Models walked the runway in Ellery’s now famous bell sleeves and flared trousers and layers of voluminous shapes in a muted colour palette with pops of soft blues. Some of Australia’s biggest names in fashion, including our very own MBFWA Correspondent Amanda Shadforth of Oracle Fox Blog, Vogue Australia’s Christine Centenera, Myer Ambassador Jodi Anasta, Lindy Klim and Jess Mauboy sat front row and watched this beautiful show unfold.

Fans of Ellery rejoice! The designer is back again with stunning updates to the pieces and silhouettes that have become your wardrobe staples.
