MBFWA Runway Report: Jayson Brunsdon

Jayson Brunsdon has a lot of love in his life, and this most certainly shone through in his beautifully romantic MBFWA show today. From the red roses that greeted guests when they arrived to the paper petals that fell from the ceiling as they left, the entire show was a celebration of love and romance.

The collection has a working title of ‘A Rose is a Rose’, meaning I am what I am – having the freedom to love each other and be who we are, with a rebellious attitude. Jayson explored this through the use of masculine and feminine styling with black accents, and of course through the use of reds and pinks. Lace, sweetheart necklines and brocades also added to the romanticism of the collection and we fell in love with the full skirts, off the shoulder tops and stunning lace dresses.

As the models took to the runway for the finale and rose petals fell from the sky, you couldn’t help but feel the love in the room.
