Always the most fashionable and fun, but this year by far the most exclusive, the 2016 Myer Marquee is By Appointment Only…
Reminiscent of a European atelier, this year’s Myer Marquee has a refined edge, inspired by the finer things in life. Set two metres above the Birdcage, guests will enjoy uninterrupted views of the track from a modern and luxurious environment, surrounded by industrial steel mesh walls, black architectural lines and oversized mirrors.
The marquee design, led by renowned Melbourne creative director, Amanda Henderson from Gloss Creative, is once again set to be the place to be seen during next week’s Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Within the marquee, guest will be treated to a chic, private bar, ‘By Appointment Only’. Here, during the morning, an immaculately dressed chef will serve a selection of fresh sweet and savoury European style crepes bursting with the most delicious fillings. Guests are invited to garnish their crepe with the most unique and interesting toppings including dulce de leche, macaron crumbs and fried salt bush. In the afternoon, grazing platters of cheeses served on Salt&Pepper boards will be enjoyed with a selection of wines.
With the excitement building and only two sleeps until Derby Day, we can hardly wait. Bring on the 2016 Melbourne Cup Carnival!
